Cooking Fun Part 2.

Today we cook again!. We made ” Guo Dong ” & ” Chawamushi “. The ingredients needed for Chawamushi is pretty simple.

1cube chicken stock or Chicken broft

4 eggs

Crabsticks*

Mushroom*

Bai Guo*

Those * are actually not compulsory. I put 1 x cube of chicken stock into a boiling water, stir until the cube dissolves. Leave the chicken stock to cool down. I didn’t take note how much water i used, but u can gauge your taste. If u like salty, put less water. Put more water if you find it too salty for you.

Alternatively, you can use chicken broft. Those are already cooked chicken stock… Should save you some trouble & time.

4 x Eggs, You only require 3 egg yorks. So that mean you will be wasting 1 egg york. Don’t waste food, make yourself a hot cup of milo & throw the egg york in. It is my energy drink back in my kampong days ( Malaysia ) when i was still a kid. Hehe. Ok back to the topic. Whisk the egg gently to prevent bubbles. Whisk until the egg white & egg york are well blended.

Mix your eggs together with your chicken stock. Make sure your chicken stock is cool, you don’t have to cook your eggs just yet. Whisk your eggs & chicken stock, make sure they are well blended & also remove any bubbles you see. Pour them into a bowl / cup, you may also add in those * ingredients right now.

Make sure you pour it gently to minimize bubbles & if you do have bubbles, remove them right now. Any bubbles will cause your chawamushi’s surface to look like a mine field with lots of holes….

Make sure your water is boiling before you steam your chawamushi. Let it steam for 3-4 mins before you remove the lid. I let my chawamushi steam for 10mins. I am kiasu, because i don’t wanna to eat 1/2 raw eggs… hehehe.

End Product :) :) :)

While i was busy preparing our chawamushi, my gf was also busy preparing her ‘ guo dong ‘.

Tadaaa… a close up picture. She uses Long Gan & Green apple favor coloring. :)

Here’s a picture of her with her “guo dong”. :)

We had a lot of fun today though i still have “work” waiting for me to finish. I guess i just needed a break off work badly. :) :)

Give me a break.

Things wasn’t smooth for me this week, apart from the overwhelming work. I still have to drag myself to work despite having headaches. Hmm… let me list down stuff i have done this week:

Consolidation of Names for the training camp
Consolidation of T-Shirt Sizes for the training camp
Parental Consent Forms for the training camp
Room List
Power Point Slides ( Not for myself )
Excuse Letter ( credits to spencer for sending me the draft )

+

Coaching.

Coaching wasn’t smooth as well, Athletes falling sick / sun burnt / forget this & that / talking while training… etc etc etc. Arghh. I am feeling so negative right now. & I feel that my effort wasn’t well appreciated. I guess i have come back to reality that they are still kids, they have alot more to learn in the path ahead of them. Still, i love them.

Finally weekend, i thought i could have a good rest / relax. My gaming console decided to abandon me, My xbox360 has 3 red rings of death & i have to wait till Monday or Tuesday before i can call Microsoft Customer Service to claim my warranty. To make things more worst, I am leaving for a Malaysia Training Camp in 9 days for a period of 9 days. The replacement set would usually come in 5-10 days period. I really want to get it exchanged as soon as possible, but i am expecting the longest 10 days period. Whereby i am not around.

So i seek help from my sister, she says in the next upcoming period of time she would be very busy. Next i approach my gf, whom i thought will definitely help me to do my exchange. But i was really surprised by her. She declined as well, claiming that i can do the exchange after i come back from Malaysia. :(

Calm Down Calm Down is all i can tell myself……

Calm down…….

Ed-out.
